The World Franchise Forum, which kicks off in Moscow on 30 May 2018, will announce the results of the 6th contest among journalists for the best article about franchising.
Authors of the best articles on the subject of ‘Franchising in the Modern World’ will be awarded diplomas and split RUB 900,000 in cash prizes, Subway Russia VP Gennady Kochetkov said. “Modern journalism is a key component in the life of society today. Like never before, the media today can shape the agenda and influence social change. For us, the contest is an effective way to advance franchising as an industry that has an impact on the economy, the social sphere and many other aspects of our life”, Gennady Kochetkov said.
Journalists from Russian media have submitted copy written between 1 August 2017 and 20 April 2018, a total of 32 articles from more than 16 regions of the Russian Federation.
The contest is part of a media campaign by the Subway Russia fast food chain master franchisee to promote franchising as a way to develop small business and entrepreneurship.
World Franchise Forum events will be supported by the Roscongress Foundation, the Government of Moscow, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
